The receiver is big and has a reasonable +/- ~45 degrees field of view. The transmitters are made with rubbery plastic housings which is great since I just slid them under the unit they are meant to transmit to and they stay in place. If they get bumped, no big deal since the housing is flexible. Works great with my TiVO and with my DVD player, can't know about the VCR since I lost the remote for that.

I have been looking for IR distributions on line and have been skeptical of them. I had heard that they weren't very reliable. This one works perfectly! Just plug and play and even my wife is happy with it!
