Comments about HTD Basic Multi-Channel Whole-House Audio System Package:

I bought the system to power and control HTD in-ceiling speakers throughout my home and also another brand of outdoor speakers. I chose the knob-style volume controls because I didn't care for the look of the slide controls. But, had I known the knob controls adjusted the volume in rather large pre-set clicks or steps (that may not conform exactly to the volume one wishes to achieve) I may have gone with the sliders (assuming the sliders allow for infinite volume adjustment). The speakers are great too. I chose HTD over another brand of speaker based upon the fact their shipping weight was more than twice that of the other brand, indicating a much larger magnet. I do wish the amplifier had a remote as it is the only component that I can't control from a distance. Can't say enough good things about the quality of phone support.

Home Theater Direct Response: nearly all hi-end VCs use a preset number of detents (see brands like Niles, Sonance, Speakercraft), usually 12 detents like ours (both rotary and slide-type). Infinite adjustments are not as clean and inevitably get noisy over time.

Comments about HTD Basic Multi-Channel Whole-House Audio System Package:

Its been almost a year since I bought a complete systme from "HTD" and I believe it's the best sound equipment investment I've ever made. I use it for my store. The system is on for more than 12 hours daily. I never have any problems. The system does not overheat and the sound is always great. I will most definitly recomend "HTD" equipment to any one. It's a wonderful product and very high quality.
